It has been so nice these past couple days.  I was surprised when I walked out to my car.  My door wasn’t frozen shut, and I didnt have to blast the heat.  Nice huh?

I’ve been seeing green everywhere.  Im very  ready for spring and summer.

So I dont have much to share.  Its been one of those weeks.  My cold came back worse than before.  ( like woah bad)  my computer broke, and honestly I havent picked up my camera since last weekend.

But I did make a great chocolate bread pudding.  It was seriously good.  I had been having a craving for some, so I took all my old bread and whipped some up.  Its quite easy actually.

I am hoping to pick up the camera this coming weekend.  Im going on a few small trips and want to take lots of pictures.

I had a pretty nice weekend. Food and drinks, movie, friends, a concert, all good times.    The head cold is still hangin’ around, but Im feeling better.  Thanks to those of you who posted great remedies.

( My favorite was putting whiskey in my tea.  Very good)

Making lunch from last nights dinner has to be my favorite type of lunch.  Its quick and often the food tastes even better the second time around.

I had a leftover chicken breast, so I had chicken salad with toasted almonds, apples, extra celery, and a dash of relish.

I then used last nights roasted yukon taters’ to make a cold potato salad.  I added some red wine vinegar, feta cheese, dash of dill and black pepper.  ( its a new favorite, seriously–try it.)

As I mentioned before, I have been working on a new project.  I wanted this project to feel a bit more personal. An exploration. I think Ill call this project …Inside.

I love seeing daily routines, lifestyles, things.  The way people live, their constants. I also love seeing what they live in, their space.

Interiors and food have to be my two favorite things to photograph.  You all see what I eat, a lot ( maybe too much?) So to switch gears a bit, I thought, why not show my interiors/lifestyle through a series of post. A journey through my house.

I find my photography style constantly changing, so I wanted this project to be a bit more abstract.  Very simple photos,  moments if you will, sometimes just of light or texture. I want to capture the details that I find most appealing. To show the space in a pure raw form.  To explore.

To start, I will share my bathroom.  A very small space, but it is one of the brightest spots in the house.  The light changes through this space constantly. I love it.

So I finally got my B&W film back last night.  (one roll at least)

I have been wanting to shoot black and white for a while now. You notice the light in a picture so much more.

The film was expired. I found it under my desk and thought I’d give it shot.   I think they turned out ok.  The color seems way off, not to mention I have a cheap scanner.  But I like the texture with the almost sepia tones.

These are just are a few. I will share more in the coming week.

Whew, what a weekend.  It was beyond nice. ( seriously, be jealous)  63 degrees and sunny.  I spent almost the whole weekend on the back deck.

Went out with some great people on friday for a birthday, ate some great mexican ( fajitas), made breakfast ( biscuits with honey butter) took riley on a walk, made pizza (on an asiago cheese baguette), and bought girl scout cookies ( 3 boxes!)

Awesomeness.  So nice for the middle of February, right?

This week has been one of those weeks. You know when you barely have time to eat?  The work has finally slowed down and Im very ready for the weekend.

So I thought I would share the few photos I took lately.  Some food and things I am currently loving.

- I got these great fingerling potatoes for roasting and some awesome yukon golds for breakfast.  So good.

-I  finally got a plant for the house. Its leafless, succulent, and requires little or no maintenance.  Im not sure what it is, but its pretty awesome looking, no?

( you might think it is dead, but its not.  promise.)

-Chocolate chip pancakes with milk.  Need I say more?
